ADDITIONAL CHARGES EXPLAINED

B.O.S.S. Acting School prepares students for optional LAMDA exams throughout the year, participating in these exams are not compulsory and are at the student and guardians discretion. If a student decides to take the exam an additional fee will be charged for the exam and must be paid before the student is entered by B.O.S.S. to LAMDA.

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds once the student has been entered, a credit note will be issued at LAMDA’s discretion should the child be unable to take part in the exam. Please Note: This often requires a medical note.

Throughout the academic year B.O.S.S. gives the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends in showcases, musicals and red carpet events. B.O.S.S. charges only for the third term showing at a price of £10 per adult and free for children under 18. This contribution helps us to cover our theatre hire, extra staff for the day, the actors' costumes and props we have sourced for the show. It also includes the free live streaming link and video to keep forever.

CLASS CHANGES

B.O.S.S. has the right to change class timetables and teachers from time to time without notice. This comes down to our incredible teachers being industry professionals. There is always the risk that a last minute change of teacher could be made, due to a professional commitment. This will only be done if absolutely necessary and we always do our best to keep teachers and class times as similar as possible but unfortunately this cannot always be guaranteed. We assure you that any cover teacher will have been through a gruelling selection process and will have amazing experience with all the significant documents a BOSS teacher requires. In extreme events where the class can no longer continue in person, sessions will be transferred online for a short period.

MISSED CLASSES

In the event that a student is unable to attend a class, due to sickness, holiday or a decision by the parent or student not to attend, BOSS regrets that it is unable to refund any payment. However, in the event that the child is unable to attend the classes for more than one month due to injury or illness and is medically no longer able to attend we would be happy to suspend or cancel the membership without any further obligation to you. We will need the request to suspend a membership in writing and may require suitable medical evidence in the form of a GP or hospital letter setting out the medical reasons.
